Zoe Saldana leads a star-studded cast in a new espionage thriller, Special Ops: Lioness, which is inspired by an actual US Military program.

The 44-year-old Avatar actress is joined by Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly and Laysla De Oliveira.Keep reading to find out more… Joe (Saldaña) attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror. “Are you close?” Morgan Freeman‘s character asks. “Closer than we’ve ever been,” Nicole Kidman‘s character Kaitlyn Meade says, who oversees the Lioness program. “We locate the wives and daughters of these high value targets and we place an operative close to them and we kill the target,” Joe says.

Special Ops: Lioness will premiere on Sunday, July 23 on Paramount+. Zoe recently shared a video of herself topless and getting ready to cover up some tattoos before a day on set.

Lise Pedersen “The Landscape and the Fury” by Switzerland’s Nicole Vögele took the Grand Jury Prize in the International Feature Film Competition at Swiss doc festival Visions du Réel on Friday. Shot on the Bosnian-Croatian border, which is also the European Union border, the film unveils the struggle of refugees being chased away by police and navigating a terrain still contaminated with mines from the Bosnian War.
