A young cat was tragically left abandoned, alongside a 'heart-breaking' note from their owner. The 'sorry' pet owner says she could no longer keep Lilo, reports Manchester Evening News.

The one-year-old cat was rescued by staff at RSPCA’s Manchester and Salfordbranch. The note discovered with her was written by her owner and stated that they hoped ‘someone would love me more’.The piece of paper also provided detailed instructions to help future owners give Lilo the love and care she needs.

The note read: “My name is Lilo (Lee-Low) and I am one.“My mummy is sorry and she loves me very much but she can’t keep me anymore.

I love treats and soft blankets to make biscuits on. "I am an indoor cat too. I love to play and am very independent but I do love a snuggle and to sleep on the end of the bed at night.“I’m a good girl and my mummy hopes someone will love me more.
