Women seriously injured in horror A74 crash as two babies taken to hospital

Two women have been seriously injured in a crash on a Scots motorway with two children being taken to hospital. A red Kia Rio car left the A74 (M), between junctions 14 and 15 near Beattock in Dumfries and Galloway, around 4.45pm on Wednesday October 20.

Police closed the road in both directions for several hours as emergency services attended. The driver of the car involved, a 60-year old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.Another woman, 24, was taken to the Dumfries and Galloway Infirmary with a serious injury and a 46-year-old man was taken to the same hospital for observation.Two babies, a boy and a girl, were also taken there as a precaution.Officers are now appealing for
