Woman stabbed best friend 18 times 'after she called her horrible', court hears

A woman 'lost control' and attacked her best friend with a knife after she called her "a horrible person", a court heard. Lauren Walsh, 22 stabbed young mum Kelsey Gielinck - and then went on to knife her boyfriend too.

She denies attempting to murder the couple, reports the Liverpool Echo. Prosecutors allege she struck "without warning", after Miss Gielinck discovered her bank card had been stolen and used at Home Bargains and Tesco that morning.
