Woman charged and due in court over death of man in Scots town

A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man in the Borders. Brian Kowbel, 40, was found injured at a property on Chris Paterson Place in Galashiels on Friday, February 17.

Mercy crews descended onto the address after receiving the alarm at 6pm. He was raced to Borders General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police investigating the incident earlier confirmed they had arrested a 37-year-old woman in connection.
