Will Mellor forged his friendship with fellow actor Sheridan Smith during filming for the sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

But in our new interview, the Coronation Street star admits he hasn't "spoken to her in about six years," adding that the actress – who he was once "very close" to – "never reached out" when his dad Bill passed away last April following a short battle with cancer. "I haven’t spoken to her in about six years," the 45 year old said of his former co-star. "I tried calling her for about a year but she never got back to me.
