The 63-year-old was officially announced as the club’s interim manager earlier this week and will take charge of his first United game this coming weekend against Crystal Palace.
Overseeing transfer activity will be an important aspect of his new role, but reports suggest Rangnick is already drawing up a list of potential targets for this coming January.
One of which could be Chelsea forward Timo Werner. The two have previously worked together when Rangnick was in charge at RB Leipzig, however the German striker has endured an indifferent Premier League career since arriving to England in the summer of 2020.
