Despite being an honoured member of the British military, the Duke of Sussex will not be wearing his uniform as he mourns the Queen today.

Previously, Harry saw action on the front line during two tours of duty in Afghanistan. However, he will be wearing civilian clothes during today's funeral because he is no longer classified as a working royal.

According to protocol, only active and working royals may be permitted to wear their military uniform at the Queen's funeral.

Following his separation from the royal family, Harry was also stripped of his honorary military roles including Captain General of the Royal Marines.
