Meanwhile, Little Marvin blended classic horror genre elements with the all-too-real terror of otherness and racism when a Black family moves into a predominantly white neighborhood in “Them” for Amazon Prime VideoBoth men dabbled in the past for these limited series, with “The Good Lord Bird” set in the 1850s and “Them” set a century later, in the 1950s.
