Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has handed Donny van de Beek his first start of the season for Manchester United after being impressed with his work in training.

Van de Beek played his first minutes of the season as a late substitute against Newcastle on Saturday, but he's in the side to face Young Boys in Switzerland.

The Holland midfielder is making just his 16th start in what has been a frustrating year at United since moving from Ajax for £35million, but Solskjaer revealed he'd been training well at Carrington. “He’s been waiting for his chance, he’s been working hard in training, he had his injury in the summer but he’s come back strong and fit and I’m looking forward to seeing him," Solskjaer told MUTV.
