Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

For the past two months, Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated Eras tour has been captivating fans across the nation as they travel far and wide to witness her show-stopping performances.

Well in advance of the release of Taylor's concert tickets, fans were already preparing for the event. In fact, the demand was so immense that Ticketmaster experienced a complete shutdown in November due to the overwhelming number of people clamouring to secure their tickets.

The excitement surrounding the Eras tour was no surprise at all since this is Taylor's first tour since 2018. However, even before stepping foot into the stadiums, Swifties have already dedicated hours to a special trend that has emerged from the tour - friendship bracelets.

The inspiration for this trend stems from one of Taylor's songs, You're On Your Own, Kid, featured on her 2022 album, Midnights. The lyrics in the bridge of the track encourage listeners to view every loss as a step forward and to symbolize their connection through friendship bracelets.
