Tonight (Thursday, August 11, 2022) will be the last supermoon of 2022 and will illuminate the night's sky across the UK, particularly in Northern regions like Scotland.
A supermoon is defined as a full moon which occurs closer to the Earth, appearing around seven percent bigger to the naked eye and producing some impressive photographs.
The Sturgeon Moon will be approximately 223,600 miles from the Earth’s centre when passing over the meridian.
