Last night, it was revealed he would be revealing an extension to the furlough scheme until the end of September. The government's contribution will be reduced from July with employers asked to pay in alongside the taxpayer for the cost of furloughed employees.
Mr Sunak is also expected to detail various plans including an extension to the stamp duty holiday as well as detail any tax rises among other announcements.This will be based around a three-point economic plan focused on supporting people through the Covid-19 pandemic, fixing the public finances and building the future economy.
