They can't seem to decide if they're mates or enemies and comedic scenes ensued as Phill Whittaker and Tyrone Dobbs scrapped over Fiz Stape.
In Wednesday night's episode of Coronation Street (May 25) things got very messy as love rivals ended up rowing again. On Monday night Fiz dumped Phill after finding out that her boyfriend was planning a book about her late husband, the serial killer John Stape.
Seizing his opportunity her ex Tyrone called at the swanky house Fiz shared with Phill to collect her things. He was hoping this would mean they’d be reunited.
But as Tyrone berated Phill they lost their balance and fell headlong into wet cement on his patio. As Phill scoured the concrete, he mournfully revealed that he’d lost an engagement ring and was planning to pop the question to Fiz. But that wasn't the end of the high jinks as Phill produced an eight setting hose to rinse off the concrete and told Tyrone to strip. "It's either that or get concrete inside your van," he told him.
