Wayne Lineker slams brother Gary for not wishing him happy 60th birthday: 'I am done'

Wayne Lineker has taken aim at his brother Gary Lineker for not wishing him a happy 60th birthday, declaring: “I am done”. Last week, the bar and restaurant entrepreneur took to Instagram to tell his 846k followers that he would love for his brother, Match of the Day presenter Gary, 61, to surprise him at his 60th birthday party at his world-famous O Beach Ibiza club.

Posting a number of sweet throwback snaps of the brothers, Wayne wrote: “If there was one person in the world I would love to surprise me at my 60th birthday party next week @obeachibiza it would be this man." Alluding to their strained relationship, he continued: “I don’t think it’s too difficult to work out we’re not as close as we were”, with a crying emoji and the hashtags #lifestooshort #brothers.

It said: “For all those asking, not even a text message” accompanied by a distressed emoji and the hashtag #iamdone”. Wayne then went on to take further aim at his brother, reposting his own message of “Happy Birthday” to Gary on his 60th birthday, which was in November 2020.The post read: “Happy Birthday 60th big bro ..I will always be proud of you.
