Michael Beale admits he was left "a little bit annoyed" with the level of Rangers' performance against Partick Thistle. But while the Gers boss is realistic about the "low probability" of his team's title chances, he's refusing to give up hope the tide could swing their way.

Rangers are still competing in all competitions after their narrow win over Thistle but they trail Celtic by nine points in the Premiership, with the two domestic cups presenting their most realistic chance of silverware. They face off with Ange Postecoglou's team at Hampden in the Viaplay Cup final next weekend hoping to lift that trophy while Raith Rovers await in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

But the league is the focus and ahead of the trip to Livingston on Saturday, which will be fixture number 26 out of 38 for the Ibrox side, Beale was asked at a media conference to assess his side's chances of overthrowing Celtic. He said: "If you looked at probability, the probability is low because the games are running out and there are only so many games left.

We are in very good form. Celtic are in very good form and their form has run longer than ours so you would say it is outstanding form."What I would say is momentum can change things in football so all we have to do is keep doing our job and hope the momentum changes.
