Warning issued over new E10 fuel which could lead to higher costs

Drivers across the country have been warned to expect their petrol bills to rise because of the new eco-friendly E10 fuel now on sale.

The fuel, made with 10 per cent bioethanol, may not be suitable for a lot of cars people are currently driving. However, Hull Live reported that an expert pointed out that fuel will prove more expensive for every driver in the country.

This is because drivers will have to fill up their cars more often. E10 is now the new standard for UK petrol station - it's less energy-dense than 100 per cent petrol or E5 fuel.
