Vulnerable Scots could receive third Covid jab to prevent another winter spike

Covid vaccine later this year in a bid to prevent another winter spike of the virus. Trials are reportedly underway south of the border which could see everyone over the age of 50 and those with underlying health conditions given a booster vaccine in the autumn.The Times is reporting that the vaccine could come at the same time as the annual flu jab but in the other arm.

Scientists, supervised by England’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, are also looking into new types of vaccines that would target specific variants.
