Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
A Virgin Media customer on Facebook has shared how they manage to haggle their way out of an upcoming surge in price on their bills. It's predicted that most broadband customers will have to pay around 14 percent more for their services as of next month thanks to the Consumer Price Index. Most major companies such as Plusnet, EE and BT have all been forced to bump their prices up, but some are offering a way for customers to negotiate a lower price.Birmingham Live reports that some customers have even managed to avoid the price hikes altogether, as one person on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK has proved.
Posting anonymously on the group, they said: "I recently received a letter from Virgin Media telling me my monthly bills would be going up £9 a month from May due to price increases."I phoned them this morning and got put through to their customer retention team who reduced this price rise by 80% so my bills will only be increasing by £1.80 a month."It was a 15 minute call and very easy - I just explained I was struggling due to the cost of living going up."It’s always worth the phone call to see what they can do to help!"Virgin Media has given its broadband customers 30 days from the day they are notified of the price rise to either cancel their services, or talk to the company about their broadband contract. Some customers claim they've been able to save money ahead of the price hike.
Another person also told the group: "Rang Virgin today having received the below email informing me that the cost of my plan is shooting up by £7 a month."Upon ringing them to my surprise the lady I spoke to offered me a knocked down price of £17 a month which is £7 a month cheaper then then the £24 I currently pay.
