'Violent' disturbance in Gourock as man rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a ‘violent’ disturbance broke out in Gourock.Police were called to a property on Kempock Street shortly before 8.30am on Saturday, January 22.

Officers discovered an altercation had taken place which left a 30-year-old badly injured. He has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

Police Scotland have confirmed that a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rammy.Investigators remain at the scene as their enquiries remain ongoing.A force spokesperson said: “Officers were made aware of a disturbance at a property on Kempock Street in Gourock shortly after 8.25am on Saturday, 22 January.“A 30-year-old man suffered serious injuries during the incident and has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.“A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here .
