Vast £1m drugs farm found yards from police station inside magistrates court

Police discovered a vast cannabis farm with plants worth up to £1m inside a mothballed magistrates' court, just yards from a police station.

Now 20-year-old man has been jailed for his part in the part in the scam. Ilidion Brahaj, 20, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of producing a Class B drug.

Around 1,000 cannabis plants were found inside the former Halton Magistrates’ Court on Northway in Runcorn. In a statement, Cheshire Constabulary said: "Ilidion Brahaj, of no fixed address, had been producing approximately 1,000 plants to the street value of between £336,640 and £1 million.
