Vanessa Feltz has shared her excitement about Phillip Schofield's return to the small screen, revealing she's "delighted" at his upcoming Channel 5 adventure. The former This Morning presenter is set to star in a new three-part series called Cast Away, where he'll be stranded on an island near Madagascar.
Vanessa, who frequently appeared on This Morning and has known Phillip for many years, expressed her hope that this new venture will offer him some solace.
Despite being out of the TV spotlight for 16 months, Vanessa remains supportive. Speaking to The Sun while representing Heart Bingo, she said: "I'm surprised, but delighted, and I hope it's great entertainment, and I hope that he achieves from it whatever he wants to achieve." The television personality also mentioned her keen interest in watching the show, saying: "I'd like to see it, I'm intrigued to see it and I wish him all the very best." Vanessa admitted that Phillip's choice of comeback project was unexpected, adding: "No, not at all.
I see why he would have chosen it, although it's not what I would have expected. It seems to me that he would have autonomy over it, he is the only person in it, he was the only person filming it," reports the Mirror.
