An unusual Britain's Got Talent Act who judge David Walliams commended as 'utterly brilliant' has become a new favourite among viewers.

The talent contest was back on Saturday night (May 21) with panellists Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Walliams ready to find the country's new star performer.

The winner will receive £250,000 and a coveted spot on the Royal Variety Performance line-up to entertain the Queen. An unusual act took to the stage tonight, which the audience has now branded as their 'favourite to win.' A family of puppets, called The Handersons, impressed the judges and the London Palladium with their rendition of a song crafted for their nana. Their nana - also a puppet - was sat watching in the audience and greeted the judges.

The song detailed how 'heartbroken' the puppets were without their gran around, and how happy they were to have her back. It's then revealed that their nana was actually rather naughty - and she's served time behind bars for stealing expensive Christmas presenters, including games consoles and designer clothes. "Oh it was utterly brilliant," praised David Walliams, "from start to finish, this is just wonderful," while Amanda Holden echoed: "I absolutely loved it and I was really hoping for some comedy." Alesha Dixon described the act as 'something for the adults and something for the kids.' Simon Cowell added: "It was a really, really great audition." It wasn't just the judges singing The Handerson's praises either.
