With results day well underway, many future uni students will be getting a better idea of what their prospects are and which university they want to attend.
While many students will have already received offers from their chosen universities, others may be going through the clearing process or have been waiting to receive their A level results before making the ultimate final decision for their education.

READ MORE: Nando's is giving away free chicken for A level students on results day Each year the Guardian compiles a list of the top universities based on a range of factors including student satisfaction with courses and teaching, money spent, student to staff ratios, how many students continue in their studies and career prospects.
Each university is given a score out of 100 based on this research and the institutions are then ranked in order. The top university this year is the University of Oxford closely followed by the University of Cambridge.
