World champion boxer Tyson Fury has called for the government to take action on knife crime after his cousin, 31-year-old Rico Burton, was fatally stabbed in Altrincham over the weekend.

He told talkSPORT radio that knife crime is "the most cowardly little s**th**** thing anybody can do", and called on the government to take tougher action on those who carry it out.

This comes on the same day that a 21-year-old man appeared in court charged with Rico's murder. Liam O'Prey, 21, appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court this morning (August 24) to face four counts relating to the incident in Altrincham in the early hours of Sunday (August 21), which tragically left Rico dead and a 17-year-old seriously injured in the Goose Green area.

Tyson, from Wythenshawe, was on talkSPORT with Jim White and Simon Jordan to talk about a potential unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk when the subject of knife crime was raised.
