Police were called to Hadfield Crescent, in Ashton-under-Lyne, following reports three men had attacked a teenager. The victim suffered a punctured lung and was taken to hospital after the attack at around 3am on Saturday, June 27.He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.Officers believe a second assault on another 19-year-old man nearby is possibly linked to the stabbing.The second man did not require hospital treatment.A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault, Section 39 assault and theft.Another 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault, common assault, possession of a prohibited weapon and theft.Both men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.Police continue to.
