Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Two motorists rushed to hospital after A939 crash as road locked down by cops

Two motorists have been rushed to hospital following a horror crash which took place in the Highlands this afternoon. Mercy crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, raced to the A939 near Ferness, Nairn following reports of a smash involving two motorcycles.

The incident took place shortly after 3.30pm.The motorcyclists were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness to receive treatment.Their conditions are not yet known.A photo taken at the scene shows two mangled bikes lying on a grassy verge, which is located within a series of bends in a wooded area.Different parts of both vehicles, which were clearly damaged in the collision, are strewn across the road.A car, the right hand side of which seems to have also suffered some impact, is parked stationary on the road.The air bag in the passenger seat of the car can be seen to have inflated, too.Officers remain on site to carry out enquiries into the incident and the road is currently closed.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.35pm on Thursday, 23 June, police were called to a report of a road crash on the A939 near Ferness."Two people have been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment."Officers are at the scene and the road is currently closed."
