Two have been arrested after a 'neighbour dispute' erupted into violence in Tameside. Police were called to High Street in Stalybridge shortly after 4pm yesterday evening (Monday).
They said they discovered two men aged, 28 and 32, had been involved in an incident. Neither were seriously injured. Both were later arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and were taken into custody for questioning.

There were reports from the people at the scene of a stabbing but a statement issued by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) this morning (Tuesday) made no reference to a weapon being involved. "At around 4:10pm yesterday (Monday 8 August 2022), officers were called to reports of an assault on High Street in Stalybridge" a spokesperson said. "Officers attended the scene and found that two men, aged 32 and 28 had been involved in the incident.
