Two dead in M62 horror as crash between two lorries and car shuts motorway for hours
manchestereveningnews.co.ukTwo men have died after a horrific crash between two lorries and a car on the M62. Emergency services were called to the major collision on the westbound carriageway at around 5.30am on Thursday (June 11).
Police and paramedics raced to the scene, with the motorway closed throughout the day. Two men, who were inside the car, tragically died at the scene.
Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The driver of the car was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. The carriageway was closed between junction 9 and junction 7 while emergency services worked at the scene and later reopened on Thursday evening.
