The teenage boy who murdered 12-year-old schoolgirl Ava White told a police officer "shut up you nonce" while being questioned about the killing. Ava was fatally stabbed in the neck Liverpool city centre on November 25 last year.

Another two teenagers have been charged with the murder of Alan Szelugowski. One teenage boy was already charged in March. The two boys, aged 16 and 17, cannot be named for legal reasons. Both have been charged with murder.
