Matthew Goode ( Matthew ) and Teresa Palmer ( Diana ) return from their trip to the 16th Century during the previous season with a whole host of problems to deal with in this story of forbidden love between a spell-weaver and blood-sucker.
The stakes are raised in these final seven episodes which, quite surprisingly, makes this the shortest of its three seasons.
Diana , Matthew and their assembled family and friends have a lot on their plate as they have to deal with sudden losses, unexpected pregnancies, blood-raged vampires, meddlesome witches, enemies from the Congregation of creatures, revenge-seeking vampire children and so much more.
