Troon railway station blaze sparks emergency response and service cancellations chaos

Troon railway station this afternoon. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that three pumps are in attendance after receiving an emergency call around 12.40pm.A spokesperson added that the incident is ongoing.

It's believed the buildings on platform 1 have gone up in flames. There are no reports of any injuries at this stage or details as to how the fire started.As dramatic pictures of the blaze emerge, one eyewitness has told Ayrshire Live: "It's terrible.

It's such a sad sight."The fire can be seen from all around the seaside town with thick, black smoke billowing out from the scene which has been cordoned off.
