Tommy Tiernan suggests third season of Derry Girls could be the last

The third season of the beloved comedy series Derry Girls could be the last, according to star Tommy Tiernan. Speaking to Jason Manford on his radio show, the comedian, who plays Erin’s father in the show suggested the upcoming series could be the final season.

He said: ‘This is the last series, I think. As far as I know, this is the very last series.’ Say it ain’t so! Tommy also confirmed that the cast will be back filming season three of the hit show in April 2020.

Tommy added how fond he is of his fellow castmates, adding that he can’t bear to look at castmates Kathy Kiera Clarke and Louisa Harland because they make him laugh whenever they’re filming.
