TK Maxx and Homesense to close multiple stores including Scots location

A number of TK Maxx branches are expected to shut their doors in the coming weeks, including one store in Scotland.Both TK Maxx and Homesense - which is a subsidiary of the bargain department store which exclusively sells homeware - will see branches closing in the run up to March.

As reported by Mirror Money, the closures are expected to begin next week and will start with a branch in Scotland's capital.

TK Maxx in Edinburgh's Meadowbank shopping park will shut its doors on Wednesday February 15 as the landlord pulls the lease.A spokesperson for the branch told Edinburgh Live that all staff were hoping to be given roles at other TK Maxx or Homesense stores.

However, this was only the retailer's "intention" and the number of people affected has not been announced.Meanwhile a spokesperson for TK Maxx said: "Our landlord has sadly ended the lease at TK Maxx Meadowbank, so we’re sorry to announce that the store will likely close on February 15 2023."Our senior managers have been in store supporting the team.
