Three people were thrown from a Winter Wonderland ride causing 'serious injuries'. Two patients were taken to hospital after the incident on the Ice Skater Sizzler ride, reports Wales Online.

The scene unfolded at the weekend in Cardiff, as witnesses claim they heard a 'massive bang' before people 'came off' the ride.

Two patients were taken to University Hospital of Wales after the incident and one was still there as of yesterday afternoon, according to a health and safety watchdog.A spokesman for the watchdog said: “HSE is investigating reports of serious injuries on a ride at Winter Wonderland in Cardiff.

Three people were thrown from the ride."One currently remains in hospital and is being treated for their injuries.” Several bystanders saw the startling event unfurl on Saturday evening, including Seren McCallum-Weller.The 13-year-old was at the Winter Wonderland in Gorsedd Gardens with her family for her birthday.
