Three bodies found after five people vanished on night out clubbing

Police have launched a search for five people who went missing on a night out have found three bodies. Sophie Russon, 20, Eve Smith, 21, and Darcy Ross, 21, from Porthcawl, vanished in Cardiff in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They are thought to have travelled to the Welsh capital in a Volkswagen Tiguan with two men – Rafel Jeanne, 24, and Shane Loughlin, 32, both from the city, who had also reported as missing.They were on a night out at a bar Muffler in Newport before going to clubbing at the Trecco Bay area in Porthcawl.

They had not been seen since 2am on Saturday morning, shortly after Darcy and Rafel shared a Snapchat post. Cops disocvered the car they were last seen in, in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.The VW Tiguan was recovered just after midnight on Monday, a spokesperson said.Police now think that the car was involved in a crash and came off the A48.Gwent Police say three of those who were reported missing have been found dead.Police officers have not identified which members of the group had died.Eve's sister Lauren Doyle updated an online post on Monday morning to say she was among those to have died."I will not comment on anyone other than Eve Smith to confirm that she has been confirmed as deceased," she wrote."Thank you for your support and shares I won’t be answering messages please allow us some time as a family to digest this terrible news."Sophie's mum Anna Certowicz, 42, was driving around the Gwent and Cardiff areas prior to the discovery in a desperate search for her daughter.She said police officers told her to "stop ringing" the station for updates.She told the Daily Mail: "They didn't seem to care.
