Thomas Frank has revealed Brentford have a transfer agreement with Manchester United target Christian Eriksen. Eriksen, 30, sustained a cardiac arrest at the European Championship last summer and he left Inter Milan by mutual consent following that incident.

After making a recovery, Eriksen returned to football in January when signing a six-month loan deal with Brentford. The player contributed one goal and four assists in 10 appearances during that spell and Brentford now want to sign him on a permanent deal, however, they have competition from United for his signature.

Although Eriksen was settled in London for seven years when playing for Tottenham, Erik ten Hag is hoping to persuade the player to move to Manchester. Eriksen is available as a free agent this summer and it's believed Tottenham haven't followed up their interest in re-signing him.

That means Brentford and United could be left to contend to sign Eriksen, who Frank discussed this week in an interview with Spanish outlet AS.
