THIS Morning has been taken off air today and replaced by an ITV News special. The schedule shake-up comes after Rishi Sunak became the new leader of the Conservative Party and, as a result, the country's new prime minister.
The rest of the schedule remains unaffected with Loose Women airing as normal from 12.30pm. Sunak, 42, is the youngest PM for 200 years and is the first British-Asian in the job.
He is also the UK’s first Hindu leader and saw his victory come at the start of the Diwali religious festival. The ex-Chancellor, who will today meet King Charles, said becoming PM was the “greatest privilege of my life”.
He also issued a “unite or die” warning to his party as he prepared to take over as PM. READ MORE ON THIS MORNINGTELLY VET HOUNDS MUM This Morning's resident vet caught on camera in road rage incidentOH VORD!
