A travel pundit who was hit with more than 100 Ofcom complaints for suggesting holiday ideas under the current circumstances says he's never experienced such "intense abuse" after appearing on ITV's This Morning.

Simon Calder said he was called an "absolute f***ing knob" and "a maggot" and was told to "f*** off and stay in England" after suggesting holiday-makers could visit mid-Wales as areas of south and north Wales are under local lockdown restrictions.

The travel expert was welcomed by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss possibilities for a getaway during the half-term holidays on Monday morning.
