Her Majesty the Queen's cause of death has been revealed to be old age, with no other contributing factors.The late monarch died aged 96 at Balmoral Castle in Ballater, Scotland, on 8 September at 15:10pm.
She's said to have died "peacefully" with her family at her beside - her beloved corgis Muick and Sandy included. Her Majesty's death was registered by the palace's official doctor Douglas James Allan Glass, with the certificated being released today, Thursday 29 September.
The document is signed by the Queen's only daughter, Princess Royal, 72, who accompanied her mother the Queen's coffin from Scotland to England ahead of her historic state funeral.
The statement issued on the day of her passing read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow." The Monarch experienced health issues after contracting Covid-19 in February and despite her determination to return to duties, she was forced to miss numerous events in order to rest in the months prior to her death.The confirmation of the Queen's cause of death comes after it was suggested that she "died of a broken heart" following the death of her husband Prince Philip.
