The One Show's Angela Scanlon spent night in Mexican prison after mishap
ok.co.ukAngela Scanlon has revealed that she and her friend had to spend a night in a Mexican prison when they were younger.The One Show presenter, 38, and her friend had travelled to Mexico for a relaxing holiday, but things took a left turn after a passport mishap.
Angela had used her sister's passport to get into the country, but had issues when she was trying to leave. Speaking to Alan Carr on his Life's A Beach podcast, she said: "I was in a Mexican prison.That's a whole other story. "Yeah I was, I spent the night in the Mexican prison." The mum-of-two added: "I didn't just flash my t**s guys!
I tried to enter into the UK... with my sister's expired passport which is actually illegal. "I just thought.. I didn't want to lose my own ID and I was under drinking age. "So I was like, 'I'll just bring Christine's passport'.
