If you attend the Etihad Stadium regularly, you've probably walked past it hundreds of times without realising. It's on every page on the Manchester City website, and features often on the club's promotional content.
However, put the minimalist 'footed-cross' symbol infront of a City fan and the chances are the majority wouldn't know just how significant it is.
A group of dedicated City fans have been working to uncover the history of the cross, and verify that it was in fact the first official badge of the club stretching way back to 1884.
Now, they say they have confirmation that the 'cross pattee' badge has genuine links to the early days of Manchester City Football Club.
