'The Godfather' Star James Caan's Cause of Death Revealed
justjared.comJames Caan‘s cause of death has been revealed. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the legendary actor had passed away at the age of 82.
A statement posted to his official Twitter account read: “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Jimmy on the evening of July 6.” While a cause of death was not given at the time, TMZ published James‘ death certificate on Saturday (July 23). Click inside to read more… According to James‘ certificate, he died from a heart attack and coronary artery disease.
The outlet adds that he also suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also known as COPD, and congestive heart failure. James was best known for his work in The Godfather, Misery and Elf.
Some of his other credits include The Gambler (1974), Rollerball (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977) and Wes Anderson‘s 1996 film Bottle Rocket.
