The town hall wants to build 45 apartments and 132 houses on land off Longshaw Drive, Little Hulton which was last used by Harrop Fold High School.

The development is part of the biggest public housing programme the city has seen since the 1960s, spearheaded by council-owned company Dérive – although almost half of these properties would be sold or rented privately.
