The "feared hitman" who shot and killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool last year faces life in prison after he was found guilty of murder.

Thomas Cashman, dubbed "the most hated man in Britain", was found guilty of one of the most devastating crimes in the history of Merseyside after he murdered the innocent youngster in her own home.

The 34-year-old, who stood trial at Manchester Crown Court, had been hunted down tirelessly by police since the horrendous shooting on the evening of August 22 last year.

In court, Cashman appeared calm, softly spoken and was often so quiet that Mrs Justice Yip had to ask him to raise his voice, the ECHO reports.The self proclaimed "high level" drug dealer tried to save himself on the stand as he painted a picture of himself as a family man with two kids of his own.
