The 72 year old joined her siblings, including King Charles III, to take part in the Vigil of the Princes ceremony at St Giles’ Cathedral where they paid tribute to the late monarch as they stood guard of their mother’s coffin.

Perhaps most notably, the royal narrowly avoided being kidnapped in 1974 thanks to her calm and collected nature.
