The Darkness' Justin Hawkins reveals reason behind new song 'Welcome Tae Glesgae'

The Darkness have revealed the song 'Welcome Tae Glesgae' from their new album is a homage to one of their favourite cities to perform in.

Justin Hawkins appeared on the Rock Sound YouTube channel to discuss the release of the new album and told how Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom is one of his favourite venues.

When asked about the song 'Welcome Tae Glasgae' and the meaning behind it, Justin laughed.He said: "There are a few places in the UK that are like that, there's something about that region."When they hear a song they really wanna hear they throw the beer up in the air for example, that's one of the only places you really see that in the UK.He added: "Beer is expensive!
