Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

'The Crown' Rep Denies Netflix Hit "Struggling" to Cast Prince Andrew

A representative for The Crown has strongly denied reports that producers are having difficulty finding anyone to play controversial royal Prince Andrew for the fifth and sixth seasons of the hit Netflix drama.

Season five is set to start shooting in June, andthe show has so far lined up Imelda Staunton to take the throne from Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce to succeed Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville to take over from Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Elizabeth Debicki to replace Emma Corin as Princess Diana.

Dominic West is reportedly set to swap with Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles, although this is yet to be formally announced. As yet, no name has emerged for Andrew (played by Tom Byrne in.
