The last twelve months have been a challenge for us all, but this is especially true for the owners of Manchester’s bars and restaurants.

In true Manchester style, one restaurant owner refused to let a national lockdown stand in the way of his dreams of transporting his customers across the globe - just by experiencing the exquisite cuisine his restaurant has to offer.

Zak Sofiane Malki, 34 and his business partner Mohamed Abu Salim, 35 launched Janna Lebanese Restaurant in December 2019, with a vision of creating a home-from-home environment in which diners could also feel as though they have travelled across the world as they sample his flavoursome homemade dishes.
