The 24-year-old journalist and podcast host decided to leave the show during week three, which aired on Monday night (January 18).
During the episode, she told a fellow contestant that her dad is terminally ill and that he only has weeks to live. A spotlight was also put on ALS when Sarah had a one-on-one date with Matt during last week’s episode. “I’m blown away by the number of messages from those who have also been affected by #ALS.
I feel honored to share my family’s experience on #TheBachelor and connect with others. Lots of love and encouragement for all the caregivers out there too,” Sarah tweeted earlier this month.
